Looking for an utterly simple and delicious recipe that will impress your guests this Hari Raya? Here is an amazing Apple and Berry Crumble recipe shared by home cook Paige Chua, who have just moved into her new BTO with her husband Aizat. This beautiful inter-racial marriage has brought a myriad of colours into the two families and cross sharing of food culture. This is Paige’s very first successful bake in her new nest and Aizat’s family simply love it! Now, it is a go-to recipe for all special occasions!
This no-fail recipe has been made healthier by Paige where she has replaced part of the sugar with the natural sweetness from the blueberries. It is baked to perfection with the right amount of crunch in the apples, and the final touch with the crumble adds a tad of crispiness that heightens the overall taste experience!
Let’s get started!
Here are the ingredients you’ll need: small apples, frozen blueberries, light brown sugar, flour, lemon, ground cinnamon, all-purpose flour. Sugar, light brown sugar, salt, unsalted butter and vanilla ice cream.
Firstly, preheat the oven and prepare the filling.
Pre-heat the oven at 175 for 15 mins.

De-skin the apples
Deskin and remove the core of the apples. Cut each apple into 8 thin wedges.

Combine the ingredients together
Pour in all the fillings ingredients, except for the blueberries. Toss and spread it evenly.
Now, spread the blueberries on the apples. Cling wrap and transfer to the chiller.
Secondly, prepare the crumble base.

Pinch until you achieve a sandy and crumbly texture
In a bowl, add in flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon and butter. Using your fingertips, pinch the butter and mix it with the dry ingredients until you achieve a sandy and crumbly texture.
Sprinkle the mixture over the fillings. Spread it evenly.
