She has surprised us once again with not one but three pumpkin recipes that she has prepared from just a humble Pumpkin. A very nutritious vegetable that is vital to Joey's family as she need to feed her 9 month old baby Jacob and her husband who is looking at keeping his body in shape! Pumpkins are 90% water and filled with potassium and Vitamin A which means it is good for the eyes and skin!

#1 - Pumpkin Puree (南瓜泥)
Ingredients 食材
- 1kg Pumpkin (1kg南瓜)
- 300ml Water (300毫升水)
Cooking Directions 烹煮过程
Remove the skin and seeds of the pumpkin. Cut it into half and steam for 30 mins or until the knife can pierce through the flesh. Transfer into Naturai Blender, add in water, switch it to“Puree”mode. Once the blender stops, pour it into bowl and ready to eat. If you wish to keep it for a few days, sealed and place them in the freezer.

#2 - Pumpkin Bacon Soup 南瓜培根浓汤
Ingredients 食材
- 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil (1汤匙菜油)
- 25g Unsalted Butter (25g牛油)
- 1 Onion, cut into small pieces (1个洋葱,切成小块)
- 60g Bacon, cut into small pieces (60克培根,切成小块)
- 300g Pumpkin Puree (300g南瓜泥)
- 200ml Chicken Stock (200毫升鸡汤)
- 50ml Cream (50毫升奶油)
- 1tbsp Pumpkin seeds, toasted (1汤匙烤南瓜种子)
- Black pepper (黑胡椒, 调味)
Cooking Directions 烹煮过程
Step 1: Cook (煮)
In a hot pan, add in 25g butter. Add in Onion with a pinch of salt. Stir and cook on low heat for 10 mins or until the onion becomes a little transparent. Add in bacon and cook for another 5 mins.
(在热锅中,加入牛油。加入洋葱和一点盐。用低热烹煮10分钟,直到洋葱变得有点透明。加入培根,再煮5分钟。)
Step 2: Blend (混合)
Transfer the onion, bacon into the Naturai blender. Add in pumpkin puree, stock and cream. Switch to “Soup Mode” and blend till it stops.

Step 3: Ready to serve (上菜咯!)
Pour the steamy hot soup into a bowl and garnish it with cream, toasted pumpkin seeds and black pepper.

#3 - Pumpkin Banana Smoothie (南瓜香蕉奶昔)
Ingredients 食材
- 265g pumpkin puree (250公克南瓜泥)
- 265g milk (250公克牛奶)
- 2 bananas, sliced (2个香蕉,切片)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (1/2茶匙肉桂粉)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (1/4茶匙香草)
Cooking Directions 烹煮过程
Pour all ingredients into Naturai Blender, switch to “Smoothie” mode. Once it done, pour it into a cup and ready to drink.
