Bread Pudding
cFor those with a sweet tooth, this Bread Pudding is a must-have and must-try! It can be served hot or cold, but personally recommend serving it hot with a dollop of Vanilla ice-cream and you've got yourself a winner!

Ingredients
  • 12slices bread(12片面包)
  • 500ml fresh milk(500毫升鲜牛)
  • 2 eggs(2个蛋)
  • 4tbsp sugar(4茶匙糖)
  • 2tbs buttermelted (2茶匙奶油,熔化)
  • 1tsp vanilla extract(1茶匙香草精)
  • 1tsp ground cinnamon(1茶匙肉桂粉)
  • 3tbsp chocolate chipsadd more as desired (3汤匙巧克力片,根据喜好添加。)
Custard sauce(卡仕达酱)
  • 1/2cup evaporated milk (半杯淡奶)
  • 1/4cup water(1/4杯水)
  • 1/4tsp custard powder(1茶匙卡仕达粉)
  • 1tsp ground cinnamon(1茶匙肉桂粉)
  • 1tbsp sugar(1汤匙匙糖)
  • 1/2tsp vanilla extract(半茶匙香草精)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the bread pudding (准备面包布丁)
  1. Preheat oven to 155°c. Grease 21” x 21” glass casserole with butter. Tear the bread slices into small pieces and lay them in the casserole. 预热烤箱至155°C。在21“x 21” 玻璃烤盘抹上奶油。把面包撕成小块,放在烤盘里。
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, 2 tbsp of chocolate chips, sugar, melted butter, cinnamon and vanilla. Mix thoroughly, pour over the bread in the casserole.在一个碗里,拌匀鸡蛋,牛奶,2汤匙巧克力片,糖,融化的奶油,肉桂粉和香草精。倒入烤盘里。
  3. Sprinkle the remaining 1 tbsp of chocolate over the pudding. Pop it into the oven and bake for about 30 - 35 mins or until the top is browned and springs back when lightly tapped.  将剩余的1汤匙巧克力撒在布丁上。放入烤箱,烤约30  -  35分钟,或直到顶部变金黄色,轻轻点按式会弹回。
Step 2: Prepare the custard sauce (准备卡仕达酱)
  1. In a saucepan, pour in all ingredients for custard. Whisk it till slightly thickens. Remove from heat, set aside. 在一个锅里,倒入所有的卡仕达酱材料。搅拌直到稍微变厚。熄火,备用。
Step 3: Combine and serve (上菜咯!)
