Instructions
Marinate and cook the chicken
  1. Marinate the chicken thigh with salt, pepper, garlic and cumin powder. Cling wrap and chill for at least 1 hr.
  2. Remove from the chiller and let it sit in room temperature for 20 mins to return to room temperature.
  3. On a sauté pan, heat up 1 tbsp oil. Add in chicken and let it cook for 3 mins on medium heat. Flip and cook the other side till it’s fully cooked through.
  4. Remove chicken from pan and let it rest of 5 mins. Shred it with 2 forks.
Prepare the spread and assemble the sandwich
  1. In a small bowl, combine mustard and maple syrup. Spread it on the bread.
  2. Lay the shredded chicken.
  3. Add 3 slices of apple, or as desired, on each sandwich.
  4. Add another 3 slices of cheese on top of the apple and close it with a slice of bread.
  5. On both sides of each sandwich, spread a thin layer of softened butter.
Grill the sandwich and serve
  1. Pre-heat a large sauté pan over low heat. When it’s hot, add in the sandwich. Cover with a lid and cook for about 2 minutes until the underside is brown.
  2. Flip the sandwich carefully, cover, and cook for another 2 minutes until the second side is golden brown and the cheese has completely melted.
  3. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve immediately.
