A new trend that is healthy and simple to prepare! Forget about steamed white rice when this dish is cooked together with a delicious bowl of porridge! Do it yourself and stack up your favourite ingredients because anything goes with this amazing cooking method!

Ingredients for Porridge:
  • 1cups rice(1杯米)
  • 4 Dried scallops(4个干贝)
  • ½inch gingerremoved skin, shredded (½寸姜,去皮,切丝)
  • 20 clamscleaned (20蛤蜊)
  • 5cups water(5杯水)
  • 2tbsp concentrated chicken stock(2汤匙鲜鸡汁)
Steam-potting ingredient, as desired (火锅料, 随意)
  • 500g large prawns(500克大虾)
  • 2 flower crabs(2花螃蟹)
  • Handful of mushroom(蘑菇)
  • 1 red snappersliced (红鲷鱼,切片)
  • 1can sea asparagus(1罐海芦笋)
  • 2pieces chicken thighschopped into smaller(2鸡腿,切成小块)
  • 1packet baby cornFresh (1包新鲜小玉米)
  • 1packet green bean sprout(1包绿豆芽)
  • 1whole broccolicut into smaller pieces(1个西兰花,切)
  • 2 egg tofu(2蛋豆腐)
  • Handful of wolfberries rinsed (枸杞子,冲洗)
  • 1tbsp sesame oil(1汤匙芝麻油)
  • 1tbsp chinese cooking wine(1汤匙花雕酒)
Chicken Marinade(鸡肉腌料)
  • 4tbsp oyster sauce(4汤匙蚝油)
  • 3tsp soya sauce(3茶匙酱油)
  • tsp salt(1茶匙盐)
  • 1tbsp cornflour(1汤匙蜀粉)
  • 3tbsp sesame oil(3汤匙麻油)
  • 2tbsp chinese cooking wine(2汤匙花雕酒)
  • 2tsp pepper(2茶匙胡椒粉)
Step 1: Marinade Chicken and Clean the Cockles (腌鸡肉和清洗蛤蜊)
  1. Chicken: In a mixing bowl, marinate chopped drumsticks with the marinades for at least 30 mins.  (鸡:在碗里,混合鸡肉和腌料。放入冰箱腌至少30分钟。) Clams:  In a bowl of water with 3 tbsp of salt, soak clams for 20 mins. Rinse soak in plain water for another 3 rounds. (蛤蜊:在碗里,倒入蛤蜊,水和3汤匙的盐。让蛤蜊浸泡30分钟, 直到它把壳打开,用水冲洗,把壳里的沙洗掉。同样的步骤重复3次。把没有开壳的蛤蜊扔掉。)
Step 2: Prepare the porridge (准备粥)
  1. Pour all the ingredients into the pot. Stir well. (将所有的材料倒入锅中。搅拌均匀。)
Step 3: Lay the steam-potting ingredients into the steaming rack and steam away! (将火锅材料放入蒸笼里。)
  1. On the steaming rack, lay the ingredients. Stack the steaming rack on the pot, drizzle sesame oil and Chinese cooking oil over the ingredients, cover with the lid and steam for 10 mins. Ready to consume! (在蒸架上,放置火锅料。把蒸架放在锅上。把芝麻油和花雕酒洒在配料上,盖上盖子,蒸10分钟。准备享用!)
Step 4: Complete your meal with the warm porridge  (享用粥)
  1. After all the steamed food are consumed, removed the rack. Give the porridge a good stir and consume. Add in soy sauce and pepper, if desired. (当所有的蒸料吃完后,取下机架。搅拌粥就能享用!您可以用酱青和胡椒粉提味。)
