Ingredients
  • 1can Ayam Brand Saba Mayo
  • 1pck puff pastrystore bought
  • 1/4 red onionchopped
  • 1/4 carrotchopped
  • 1/8tsp salt
  • 1/8tsp pepper
  • 1tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2tbsp cooking oil
  • flourfor dusting
  • egg wash1/2 beaten egg +1 tbsp water
  • coriandergarnish
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the pastry
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Lightly dust your workspace with some flour then lay the puff pastry out. Cut each piece into half then place one half on top of the other.
  3. Use a cup or egg mould to cut out circles from the stacked halves.
  4. Place the cut pastries on a baking tray lined with baking paper and brush the top with egg wash. Set them to bake for 20 mins at 180°C or until the pastry has risen and is golden brown.
Step 2: Prepare the filling
  1. In a bowl, add the saba mayo, red onion, carrot, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well.
Step 3: Assemble the cups and bake
  1. Using a knife, carefully cut a circle in the middle of the pastries and press it down until it is flat.
  2. Add the saba filling into the holes of the pastries and garnish with some chopped coriander.
